New Patient Appointment Breakdown

·        Prophylaxis -Regular dental cleaning and polishing. Is done to remove deposits of plaque, calculus, and stain from the surfaces of the teeth.

·        Oral Hygiene Instructions - This procedure's primary purpose is to educate and train the patient with a hands-on approach in order to develop excellent oral hygiene skills for better controlling the cause of periodontal disease (bacterial plaque).

·         Intraoral Complete Series - An entire set of X-Rays inside the mouth... known as "bitewings", which are images that display the crowns and roots of all teeth.

·        Panoramic Radiograph - An extraoral projection whereby the entire mandible, maxilla, teeth and other nearby structures are portrayed on a single image, as if the jaws were flattened out

·        Oral Images - Photographic images to be included in patients clinical records, used to show the patient the condition of their mouth.

·        Comprehensive Oral Evaluation - The patient assessment that may include gathering of information through interview, observation, examination, and use of specific tests that allows a dentist to diagnose existing conditions.

·        Diagnostic Test/Oral Cancer Screening - A pre-diagnostic test that aids in the detection of abnormal lesions, found in or around the mouth area

·        Tobacco or National Counseling (if needed) - Tobacco prevention and cessation services reduce patient risks of developing tobacco-related oral diseases and conditions.

·        Case Presentation - Consultation service provided by dentist to discuss and educate the patient of their dental needs and proposed treatment modalities. 

Whitening Treatments

·         Take Home Whitening - Consists of trays that fit your upper and lower teeth and a 6 month supply of whitening gel for touch ups at home.

·        In Office Whitening - Procedure done where gums & lips are covered and only teeth are exposed. Whitening gel is applied to the teeth & a special light is used to gently penetrate your teeth and break up stains & discoloration.
